well it LOOKS like Kate and Jack (prehaps some of the other islanders as well) eventually get off the island, however something seems to be wrong, so much so that Jack feels thats he must go back to the island as soon as possible, prehaps to rescue the remaining people on the island that were left behind, or because he has found out that something isn't quite right with the world outside the island, prehaps other people who have come off the island have had untimely deaths or accidents, who knows, the mystery continues, well untill 2010 at least!

Well I think that the flash'backs' which we saw all through the episode were the future, telling us that the survivors got off the island, but Jack wants to get back there, for a unknown reason. (however, the flashforwards only show us Kate & Jack, so the other survivors may not have got off the island, but i think they probably have).
Very confusing episode. Charlie died.. and we found out that Naomi has nothing to do with Penny, so maybe shes from the Dhama and they're trying to get back their island, but im not sure about that. She might just be from another group of people who want to find the others.
Ben tries to stop Jack and everyone from leaving, so he tells his friends to shoot Sayid, Jin & The dentist, which they dont, but everyone thinks they did.
Hurley saves the day.

I dont think anyone really understands it. We;re all more LOST than ever!
I do know that they must have got off the island. Oceanic gave them free flights for life, and Charlie wants to go back.
Ben told Alex that Danielle is her mother, and CHARLIE IS DEAD!!!!!!!! :(
I'm dying to know what was up with the others NOT killing Sawyer, Jin, and that other guy.....
I need to watch it again! :)
PS - if this was a book, i would have already read the last chapter to find out the ending, and THEN read the rest of the book! LOL

I don't think they got off the island....I'd say Ben was right and Naomi was the bad guy in all of this. I think that instead of having "flash backs" he's having "flash forwards" if that makes any sense? and that it's what might happen if they were off the island. Sure if they left the island now, what point would the next 3 series be??? =)

It was the future and I think it was an alternate future because Kate seemed to be doing rather well with her nice car and no one seemed to be chasing her like a fugitive any more.
Apparently, they got off the island but I would guess not everyone did.
Also, notice that Jack's father WAS STILL ALIVE according to the scene where he told the chief od staff to go get his Dad and if he wasn't more drunk than him, he could fire him.
Bizarrre stuff.

They definitely got off the island, at least the two of them. I love this show so much. I love how it keeps you guessing and wondering. It's going to kill me having to wait until next February for the next season to start!!!

That was weird. They mutsa got off the island or Jack is dreaming. God I hope he is dreaming. Jack wishes he had never left.

*spoiler* Charlie died! i am crushed. But the rest of it, with Jack and his "flash-forwards" i'm not sure. Ben said don't do it, Jack did and he keeps going forward with bad stuff. He's in pain, needs drugs, he is Lost. hmmmmmmmm. i dunno. but on the bright side, we have until 2010 to figure it out.
