I would have retired

If I were Roger Clemens, I would go to the team that had the best chance to win a World Series. That would be Boston but he chose New York for the money and he wants to remembered in the hall of fame as a Yankee.

The Astros wouldn't take him back. The leaving the team thing on days he wasn't pitching didn't work out too well for them. The Yankees are a TERRIBLE mess. They have zero chance. But, a HUGE bag of money.

I would've gone to Boston. One final ring. Wrap up career where he started.

BUT, Clemens will always be a money-grubbing blow-hard.
He did leave Boston so he could be closer to home.......and went to Totonto!!

Good luck with your 6.00 ERA "Rocket"

He might have regretted going with either team but his best chance is probably still with the Yankees. He probably had wished now he went back from where he started with the Boston Red Sox.

If I were Clemens, I`d keep riding this semi-retirement train as long as an owner is willing to pay a wheelbarrow load of money. So it doesn`t matter which team you go to.

Yankees offer more money, better offense, worse bullpen (overwork)
More glory and money in NY, NY overall probably stand the better postseason chance.

Its not a hard choice.

Though Boston would have been better... Got some money, history, some glory, and a better team.

I would of taken the millions of dollars I've earned throughout my career and retired. I wouldn't of wanted to go to either of those teams, and the Red Sox had no use for me. Maybe I could of pitched for the other team in New York who are still in need of another solid starter???

the Red Sox wanted him, but he want to start his season right away, so he went to the Yanks. I would have waited a month and then played for the Sox.

I would have gone to the Red Sox or I would have retired graciously.
