My period finished yesterday, and i had sex that day also.

But i stopped taking the pill on sunday and am supposed to start re-taking it tonight.

Am i protected?

If i am not protected, what are the changes of actually getting pregnant?

This link will help you to understand how the pill works, better than I can explain it here. but, basically the hormones in the pill, depending on your formulation, can prevent ovulation, meaning you don't release an egg at all, prevent implantation if an egg is fertilized, and/or cause a thickening of the mucus at the opening of the cervix that prevents semen from entering.

So as the first post says, as long as you don't miss a pill your fine!

Yes as long as you havnt missed any of the pills, then you are always protected whether you are having your period or not.

The chances are almost null for you becoming pregnant because you were not ovulating at that time but you'd better be protected by another method if you are not on the pill.
