Race has been an American obsession since the first Europeans [Anglo-Saxons] sighted "savages" on these shores. Native Americans [Indians] were immediately subdued and slaughtered and finally sequestered out of view. I might add that from that time until the present, it has been the so-called christian white male who has placed a considerable amount of undue pressure and suffering on anyone who happens to not be a so-called christian white male.
As a result, America as a whole has followed the utterly false belief that the so-called christian white male is somehow inately endowed to lead this particular nation forever. And no one else would ever be qualified to do so because they are inferior genetically which is a bunch racist hogwash.
Yes by now everyone knows that there is a fully qualified black man and a fully qualified woman running for the presidency. And this has the GOP extremely nervous at the prospect that these two people actually have a real chance in becoming elected President of the United States. The GOP candidates have distance themselves from George W. Bush and rightly so. He has made a mess of everything.
However, I personally believe that the United States is too stubborn to change at this time. The United States is presently not open to change, that's why we have global warming, racial stereotypes, high gas prices, problems in our schools, the immoral war in Iraq because the so-called christian white male wants to stay dominant.
People like Hillary, Obama, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Maxine Waters scare the pants off the so-called christian white male. Listen to Rush Limbaugh [if you can stand it], listen to Sean Hannity [again if you can stand it] because they fancy themselves as being the voice of the so-called christian white male.
The truth is I think they really speak for the devil himself. To answer your question yes Hillary has a chance to win and so does Obama. What has to happen is for women and the minorities to take a stand and vote for the candidate of their choice and not stay home on election day because that's exactly what the so-called christian white male hopes you will do.

None have been elected as none had the right stuff to win
look around at all the black/hispanic/asian ,female, or jew/muslim/hindu/buddhist that have been elected around the country They get elected just not as President yet time will come
Hasn't been that long that most of the fore mentioned didn't even get to vote
You are wrong or there wouldn't be any black/hispanic/asian ,female, or jew/muslim/hindu/buddhist running for president as there are now

This is the worst election year that I have ever seen. And I have been able to vote since I was 21. That was 40 years ago. What you are seeing is a battle within the party by people behind the scenes. And the whole world is watching. Usually we like to wash our dirty linen in private. The party will be destroyed come November. But given 4 years of McCain, we can come back and do it right next time. Hillary in 2012.

Just because the U.S. has not picked an African American /Hispanic/Asian ,female, or Jew/Muslim/Hindu/Buddhist president, has nothing to do with bias and discrimination and everything to do with qualifications. And just because we have some people of those listed gender and race now running , doesn't mean we should automatically pick them based on that. Many already hold elected positions and appointments.

Just like black areas overwhelmingly elect black politicians and areas with high concentrations of homosexuals elect homosexual politicians, a country that is tratitionally white christian will elect white christians. Hillary comes off as only one of the two.

The current administration has proven its disdain for women and blacks by placing Condoleeza Rice as Sec State.- a job she has performed magnificently.
Are you suggesting the Dems (like Senator Byrd (D)- former KKK Grand Kleegle) are biased?

Mrs. Clinton is not running for office in a "secretly-biased & discriminative" country. She is running for office in the US, the country where freedom and freedom of choice reign. National elections are usually a campaing fund raising contest. The big contributors donate to the candidates who support their views.

I dont think she will when, but not for the reason you are mentioning. I would be thrilled to vote for her if I thought she had aquired the right kind of experience but having a slew of political friends and serving senate isnt enough for me when you have no REAL answer. Everyone flip flops...EVERYONE...but you simply cannot let your friends make your decisions for you.
I will however vote for any other democrat.

If you are suggesting Hillary won't be elected because she's allegedly a woman you are wrong. Hillary won't be elected because she flip flops on the issues, she uses the advice of polls to make her decisions, and she is a condesending whiner who thinks she is better than anyone else.

because the secret sociaty, and corporations who have all the money don't want them to be elected. I believe Hillary might very well have a chance, besides she, and her husband helped one of the biggest companies (Wal-Mart), become the monster that it is now. Only time will tell who wins the election????
