Is the DS capable of The Sims 1?

Could the Nintendo DS have a port of the original Sims 1? I don't think it could, but I was just wondering.

The DS has the Sims 2, a much more demanding game graphically. I doubt highly that Nintendo will go backwards and make Sims 1 for it, when they have already released Sims 2 and Pets.

If you are refering to the open ended gameplay that features on the Sims 1 and 2 on PC, then again I'd have to say no. The little DS couldn't handle that much info.
