Ok here is my problem. I purchased a game for my PS3 that is also available for PC. I was reading up on how it was legal to download roms onto your PC as long as you own the original copy since you already paid your royalties for the game. Would I then be able to legally download a torrent of the game that I purchased for my ps3 since I already paid the royalties for the game? I mean it is not like I am actively looking for warez, I just want to be able to play the game that I purchased on the format I choose without having to pay twice for something I already purchased in a different format.

Yes it WOULD be illegal to download it since you paid for the PC version.

Certain games have diffrent quality or capabilities or even prices due to their system

I agree with the guy above me. although it's still illegal, as the 2 diff. formats have diff. content
