Take your woman by the hands, look into her eyes and lovingly ask her what she really wants to say to you. Give her your undivided attention and respect while she spills her guts. Tell her how important she is to you but that her constant nagging is driving you from her. Tell her you're sorry for your part in the breakdown of your marriage and communication and that you'd like to get better at it. Let her know that you hold her in high regard. It sounds like a breakdown on both your parts. You no longer listen so she nags. You may have to have lots of talks with her before she finally understands that she can have your attention without nagging; be willing to be a good listener, try to understand her and ask questions when you don't, be respectful, attentive and sincere, and show her you care. Try this and I hope it helps. Best wishes to you both!!

I'm so glad I realized I was a ****** for some time! I think it comes from not being able to relate to the state of mind men get into when they "shut down". I see now that you need to gather your thoughts and if we say it once it sticks.... It was, for me, a need of immediate gratification. To know that I was not being walked on and to have the immediate feeling of being listened too. The nagging starts when I don't get it the first time I ask... Which I now see will come with much Patience. It's the same thing when you guys can't relate to what a woman goes through when she is PMSing. It is something that needs to be understood...that you just can't understand. Hopefully your lady will learn to understand you more as a person and give you the spoace and consideration you need as a man!

Women only NAG if you listen to them. Otherwise it's just a slightly annoying hum in the background. A good idea can be to change the channel on the TV. They will stop nagging then. Mind you it could be advisable to be wearing some knife proof clothing at the time. That is the only sNAG

since your question applys to all women let me a start w\ yall men who don't seem understand the stupid things they do, the reason they gettin chewed out. now, don't get it twisted some women, about 10% just for no reason at all nag for no reason but, the other 90% have reason too, yall r so quick to say we bitchin but , yet u don't even realize why or don't care and that makes the situation worse. the nezt time your old lady is nagging then i want u to sit back and actually think bout what she bitching bout and go from there, the root of the nagging is there but, yall so caught up w\ she at it again that u forget that u were the cause: the trash, bills, kids, lying, trifling, cheating, something that makes us NAG!!!!!!!!!!!!! now put yourself in our shoe and see if at the end of being us, see if u wouldn't Nag, as u so nicely put it and if most women r like me , then i'm going to NAG, i would just leave whoever i thought i had to NAG at but, that me, or u could just do what u were supposed to do in the first place so she wouldn't NAG. and if u r doing what u supposed to then u got in that 10% that i was talking bout 1st

There is no "nag gene" Do not generalize all women. If you're having a problem with your significant other it is with her and not with every woman on the planet. Maybe she nags you because you don't listen/do whatever needs to be done. Or maybe she nags because she has trust/control issues.

I don't know about there being a nag gene. I just know that when I nagged my husband, it was because I was trying to get him to change some behavior I didn't like. Most people (myself included) do not take the time to get to know their mate before they marry and then think they can get them to change afterward. In fact, I thought it was part of being a good wife, to get my husband to stop smoking and drinking beer. What I failed to realize was that by nagging all the time, I was making him smoke and drink more so that he would feel good about himself.

It's bullocks to believe that all women nag, m'dear. So stop biatching about it, already!!! Man, such a nagging question..... it would be like me saying that ALL men are troublesome to women because they are deaf, dumb, and blind.. it just isn't so. Maybe you just keep running into those types that haven't grown up yet?! What does S say about it?
Oh, by the way.. long time no talk to.. hope you're doing well. Miss you! ^_^

You're right. We DO nag a lot. That is ..if nagging entails getting you guys to clean up this world you have control of; I mean, it's a mess. Some guys don't hear a thing women are saying, don't ask directions, then cry to us when it's time to clean up your messes! You don't want to talk, then you want to know "Baby, what's wrong?"...by that time we are tired of trying to get the point across to you... "Oh, NOW you WANT to talk!!!

I never nag.
He does the laundry when it gets backed up. He orders in when I am too tired to cook. (I'm okay with him not cooking. I like ordering.) He mows the lawn, checks the cars, takes out the trash on trash day. Never once have I had to "nag."
Nagging is the symptom, dear, a lazy husband is the disease.
