The Double Deckers!
"Here Come the Double Deckers was a seventeen-part British children's TV series from 1970/1971 revolving around the adventures of seven children whose den was a red double-decker London bus in an old works yard"

The double deckers so I am reliably informed. It was an open back red London bus (The bus is a Routmaster!)

It was the double deckers. It also had the compulsory fat lad who was always eating. I can't remember any of the characters names though. You probably remember 'why don't you?' as well it was on about the same time.

I think it was called,
" THE DOUBLE DECKERS "
The Theme song went like this,
" Get on board,
get on board,
get on board with the Double Deckers. :-)

Double Deckers...didn't the young black boy in the gang become a member of Aswad - Arab word for black - (roots reggae band from late 70's-early eighties)..forgotten his wee name, but 'twas he!
Ah...got it! Spring - or was it Toby - (played by Brinsley Forde) "the practical joker".
