I'm betting that they could. I called up the ticket office and I said, "What time does the game start?" and she said, "What time can you get here?". I asked her if I could get a good seat and she said, "Can you pitch?"

A pitcher of beer would have a lower ERA than anyone on the Rangers' staff.

I just remember reading a small book once called "Seasons in Hell" written by a guy called Mike Shropeshire, who was the beat writer for the Dallas Morning news, where he comments about how Billy Martin and Whitey Herzog, two of the arguablly greatest managers of this generation, tried and failed to make the Rangers a winner. I think it's just too hot in Dallas for the Rangers to ever amount to anything. Ironically, their best years were when President Bush owned the team.

It just goes to show all of us once again that you can't win without pitching. If they don't turn things around quickly they are going to break up the team and rebuild. They will have a bunch of young players that will have trouble scoring runs and still no pitching. They are in a funk and they need someone in management that knows what they are doing.

I think they could screw that up..they've certainly messed up everything else this season. I think we're gonna see a mass exodus of players from Arlington come the middle of July. This team is going nowhere and they need to get something for their players while they still have some value. So much for Sosa helping them win....all he wanted was to get his 600 and call it a day.

the Rangers don't beleive in getting quality pitchers and they dont develop the ones they have in their farm system. Sosa blows as far as i am concerned and I am happy that the OKC fans booed him while he was there. the rangers as usual will not do anything....unless doing something means ending in the middle of the pack instead of at the bottom.
