Mustangs have their appeal, especially the older ones, but in the end, they're a Ford. I have had countless experiences with Ford Motor Company and they have all been negative. Ford makes cheap, low quality, poorly built vehicles that will not last you long at all unless you absolutely pour money into them.
Of course exceptions can exist, but on average their vehicles are abysmal. With a Ford you can expect a bad tranny at some point, probably an engine rebuild, lots of minor problems, etc.
Some people absolutely love Mustangs, but I'm not one of them. Call me biased, but I say avoid Ford like the plague.

Depends on how you take care of them like all brands. Every now and then there is a bad one come out. Also sport cars in general take more maintenance than others.

No they are pretty strong, multiple owner that beat the snot out of them is the problem, I still own my 1987 GT convertible, it's NOT a daily driver though.
