How can you even ask such an odd question?

Seriously, this does seem to happen with some disturbed states of mind in which one hurts oneself to get even for some imagined condition. Sort of flagellation.

No. Seems to be getting odder.......where will I eventually land no one knows. The gulf is increasing day by day. Today only I chided myself for something which I never imagined I would do one day but woefully I did. I only pray to God to help me get even for the earthly circumstances are at odds...

Not on purpose but this is the basis of most of our disfunctional behavior. It is usually on an unconscious level. We work against ourselves and are our own worst enemies. Part of enlightenment is when we resolve these issues and stop punishing ourselves and move on to more important things.

I don't become at odds with myself. I accept myself.

No need to get even.
