I meant mitosis, not meiosis. I just got the two turned around. Meiosis is sexual reproduction, but those single cell flagellates can get pretty frisky. Who knows what they might do when the mood is right. It makes my golgi apparatus twitch just thinking about it.

To say it short and sweet,
Only Those who have sexual reproduction have meiosis. (eg- Most of the metazoa, Plantae, and some Fungi.)

Ever heard of a paramaecium having sex?? lol.
