A few yeas back a scientist claimed that some humans brains were larger than others . He wasn't trying to promote racism but he was pounced on by some in the scientific community because they feared how his message could be misused. I couldn't help but feeling pity for the guy who was making was seemed to be a reasonable assumption if evolution was true. Why then did scientists want to deny this if it was true of other living creatures. Should they not expect that humans would evolve as other species did? Maybe the subject matter made the uncomfortable but was it really out of line with evolutionary theory?

Yes, evolution theory is true, but it has no bearing on technology, and in fact is counter acted by it.
First of all, evolution can take thousands of years, so we will probably not see visible advances with each generation. Also, our ability to develop technologically is not a sign of evolution, only our physical ability to survive is a sign of evolution. Humans, however, have become so good at altering the world around us to make it easier for us to survive (with medicine, artificial limbs, tools, shelters, weapons, etc.) that these evolutionary forces don't really affect us much anymore. We no longer see survival of the fittest in humans, we now see survival of nearly all.
I agree with you that if the earth continues to get hotter, our species would have to evolve to survive in a higher climate. However, we already have air conditioning, so the danger to our survival in light of global warming would come from other things:
(1) Our crops would fail and we would have no food.
(2) The tumultuous weather conditions (more common tsunamis and hurricanes) would continue to worsen, causing many deaths.
(3) The polar ice caps would melt, raising oceanic water levels and submerging already developed land.
Our ability to endure hot weather is far from being the only threat to our survival in light of global warming, and it would take too long for the plants and animals that we eat to evolve to survive the heat as well. By the time that process took place millions (or billions) would already have starved to death.

Evolution is not necessarily apposing with God's creation .It's wrong to say that a creature can evolve without God's will. But it exists: We see that some creatures which are between the types of animals. for example, archeopteryx (not sure about the spelling is between reptiles and birds.
In reproduction, DNA of the parents are copied into the child.(We know that both DNA exist in the child. but in each case -such as color of eyes - one is prevailing.)
In very rare cases, this action of copy doesn't take place correctly. Therefore, DNA of the child changes (comparing to the fellow creatures.)
If the change is useful for the child and makes it adapt with the environment, it wins the competition of life and stays and transfers this good change to the next generations.
But if the change is not useful, it loses the competition and dies. So, only useful changes stay in the nature.
See, considering that changes are rare and useful changes are very exceptional and it takes much time that the better creatures replace others, it's not wise to say human has evolved in even two centuries, or can do it in future.
Invention is so fast now because people can reach each other researches very easily and that more people are inventing compared to the past.
Sorry for the mistakes. My mothertounge is not english.

If the theory of evolution is true then it would cease to be a theory but i don't think that has happened and will probably never happen because it can't be proven. Have you noticed how many theories there are floating around. And yet the scientists are quiet happy to leave it at that.To label something a theory is an easy way of not being able to explain the existence of something.

Yes evolution theory is very true and more than this because it is a religion. A religion of "No God". This is the beauty in understanding Gods omnipotence that He is giving freedom
to everybody as they choose. But of course, the Bible is clear that if possible man will seek God for his "eternal life". If you are a sensible researcher, you will find out that the worlds' greatest inventors were and are Christians.

Let it be known to you that anything that is told you is a "theory" is basically a lie..... and there is no truth to it......
If I theorized that 80% of the answers on Y/A are true, then I'd be telling a lie, wouldn't I?!!!!!
A theory is an educated guess which some believe to be worthy of thought on a matter which has no conclusion......

Biological evolution doesn't happen that quickly. We can't expect humans to evolve to live in a warmer climate in one generation. Culture is responsible for most of the "evolution" we can see.

a great sort of you sound like technological wisdom is a clean ingredient. does not the 1st time guy sought solutions to issues of their existence be a sort of technological wisdom? guy is chilly guy is hungry He exhibits the thank you to make or administration hearth. He discovers the makes use of and negative aspects of his new discovery. He then is able to recreate the hearth. It sounds like the medical technique to me. So one ought to declare that technological wisdom has been around longer than faith. No massive deal that guy desperate to worship his invention. in actuality the guy that began the 1st hearth could have had lots know that he became the 1st Shaman. it extremely is in basic terms a hypothesis, yet my concept does sound possible do no longer it? final analysis the two are nonetheless around, the two have developed over the years and neither could have the skill to cancel one yet another out. advantages

Invention isn't evolution - our species isn't changing in the examples you mention, just the tools we are using.
Check out the linked site - it talks about 'evolution' through our use of technology, thinking machines, etc.

Evolution is true. Look no further than the fact that whales have hair and pelvic bones to prove that..
However, evolution is a gradual process occurring over thousands of years, it doesn't happen over one generation. The recent increase in human technological achievement and evolution are not related.
