I try to think of people as individuals, as much as possible. Granted, a man may seek out a woman only out of her appearance and a woman may be looking for a sugar daddy. But, those that do this ultimately pay a price for their actions. Bank accounts can run empty and looks can go down-hill. Gold digging ( by either sex) ends when the gold ends. It always leaves the digger feeling empty and the "diggee" feeling cheated.
As for me, I prefer someone that I can unconditionally accept (sort of "old shoe comfort"), and who can unconditionally accept me.
We have not found each other yet, but, someday we will.

A woman historically had to find a man who was best to take care of her because women traditionally took care of children and needed a good provider. And though times have changed, the need is still there. It isn't easy to be 9 months pg with no help, or have a family and not able to make as much $$ as a man. It's still unbalanced as far as men making more money. Anyway, I don't think all women are gold diggers, that's just a negative stereotype that none of us as women have to answer to.

Women are attracted to success and the good life. I have never heard anyone say "he is handsome and broke" what a package. I have had a few instances where my lack of success played a role in driving potential dates away. I can tell you that it doesn't matter how good looking you are. After a while a man will give up when he feels inadequate due to his wage. This doesn't mean that men like me are not capable of a relationship. We just understand the realities of being able to provide a decent life for a potential family. Also I must add that I refuse to walk around in shame. Some men are willing to take a chance on themselves during rough times, I just happen to be very rational on this subject.

Because it's a vicious circle that we men have perpetuated on ourselves. We see some uberhottie and we tell her she is hot. Furthermore she has been told she is an ubberhottie her whole life by men and by society. And to maintain that false image she is told you have to buy this, that and something else. This also helps keep our false economy going. Then men are told to be cool, envied and excepted, we have to be seen with these women and they have to be dressed in the latest fashions, etc. etc. and so the circle goes around, around. Rather than just excepting women for there natural beauty and brains and appreciating the whole women we insist on perpetuating this vomit.

It is not my experience that "most" women are gold diggers. Mostly every woman I know has worked for her own money and are successful in their own right, including me who owned my own house long long long before any boyfriend of mine ever did, and with my own money.

Well, if that's the case, and the woman makes more money than her boyfriend/husband, does that mean that the man is a gold digger?

Do they?
Then again, in our society, where men try to hold the gold, what can they expect but to be rolled?

most men have met a golddigger at least once and after having been used and abused they go on the defensive and are leary of all women. it has happened to me and i'm sorry to have to say am very leary of women but still i just love them.
