It could come with almost anything. There's no legal definition in most states. But normally you'd expect to find the basic furnishings -- beds, dressers, a sofa and a chair or two, coffee table and end tables (maybe) and a dining table and chairs. Things like TVs, clock radios, stereo, and small appliances wouldn't normally be included.

I'd never rent a furnished place except as a very temporary place. Don't really want to sleep, sit, or dine on someone else's messes if you catch my drift!

Furnished apartments are typically more expensive than unfurnished ones, this is because furnished apartments are usually meant for business travelers that, in an effort to save the company money, will find a temporary place to stay (usually weekly or monthly rates) for a fraction of the stay at an Inn or Hotel. Additionally, most furnished apartments have a higher rate and the furnishing is really basic (usually, TV, Sofa, Bed, etc) My advice is for you to get an unfurnished apartment and decorate it in a way that will make it a pleasant place for you to live.

Furnished apartments typically only come with furniture, such as beds, tables, chairs, sometimes sofas. You still need to provide a tv, lamps, curtains, and whatever else you want to make it feel like home (sometimes a washer and dryer). Unfurnished apartments are better investments because they cost less and you can bring your own items.

I doubt a tv comes with it. I think it's just the basics.
