Ever felt tired of getting 'yes' or 'no' for your questions?

Just joking, but i was for a second just going to leave it at just a NO! but l do too wish they could put more in detail, like they only answer a part of my question and not the whole thing and some times that does make me a little angry.
For some questions all you can really say is yes or no, but for allot of them they need to put more down, almost as if they only read part of the question without reading the whole thing.
for some people they will put allot just so that you will choose them as the best answer, i don't usually put allot down for that reason, like for example-i some times put a ton of information going out of my way to help them, and they choose some other guy who only put a few words down, that ticks me off!
other times if i get to a question late then i might not put as much because if allot of people have answered it then they might not read you answer, like in which i hope doesn't happen in this case. But for the most part i usually try to give them all of the information that they need, like with this answer.
like allot of people have already answered this question before me so i hope you take the time to read this further more i hope i get more than just 2 points since i put in more effort into this question to try to please you.
So do you see why some people just put a simple yes or no?
but people answering questions also have to realize that it isn’t just about getting points, l think of getting 10 points as just a bonus and/or the person just really likes what you put, or for some other reason.

Yes. So sometimes I word it so they have to give more details. But I have been lazy and just given a yes or no answer also.

maybe a different phrasing of your questions would help.
ask open ended questions instead of yes or no questions.
or, if you ask a yes or no question, put in a note that you'd like it if the answerer submitted on his/her answer.
even this question, about your dislike for one word answers, lends itself to one word answers because it can easily be answered with a yes or a no.
"if you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

If you're tired of getting "Yes" or "No" answers, it means you need to word your questions differently.
Try using open-ended questions that require a longer answer, eg. instead of asking "Do you like music?" you could say "What kind of music do you like?" which demands a thought-out answer.

lol yea i do specially when u need an answer more elaborated than just yes/no... but sometimes we also ask stupid questions too lol that can just be answer by that... oh and this question is not stupid!

I don't think its stupid. But maybe the person doesn't know they could add more than a yes or no.

No..not really..I just assume that's the type of person they be..not too many words flow free..or having a bad night maybe.. :)

Yeah I do... There you go...Sometimes people need to be more specific in things then just a plain staright yes or no.
