Judging by your username you're a gamer.

The 7100 GS is a pretty basic card.
The 512 MB ram is something to worry about ..... it's not enough for high-tech gaming.

It's a decent system, all right, but don't think about playing games such as FEAR or Oblivion. It can run games from 3 years ago well, such as KOTOR and Warcraft 3.

WOW will be a easy game to play with this system.

I predict that it'll also run Windows Vista, although the 7100 might not be able to run aero glass.

Hum you gave a lot of information but no price for the whole package, if you did my apologies, and didn’t indicate what OS.
A good answer would have to consider both.
But from the specs you give it might run vista, but severely degraded.
Another important question is what do you intend to use the machine for primarily?
If you’re a gamer, I love FEAR and Halo, it has multiple things that need upgrading, Ram to min 1G, A dvd/cd rom drive, a good graphics card (512Mb or a “stacked” 256 Mb card) at a minimum,
But if you intend to keep the mach. As given it’s going to be obsolete probably in less than a year, if that, and with price of a new mach lower than the price of upgrading.
Newer games such as Timeshift and Crysis, due out later this year, in all likelihood will not even load, much less be playable.
But as to go with it or not, what have you got now, what can you sell it for, and the price of this mach configured to your needs.
This is what you need to consider.
Hope this rather murky answer helps, at least a little.

well the sempron processer is ah....eh. I would go with the Athlon...you may want to go to 1gb of RAM or 2 if your a gamer...also the o/s is a big facter...if you want Vista and Gaming...well that computer is as fast as a sneal....but if you using for work, or just surfing the web, or maybe some word proccessing with out Vista, then yeah it's a good system. (then you don't have to upgrade to a gig of RAM)

If you want the computer to last for a while you may wnat to get the AMD Athlon proccesser with 1GB RAM and Windows XP service pack 2...all the other stuff only matters if your gaming...

Here is a good site to custom make a computer or buy certain parts. There also catagorized for purposes... and the prices are pretty low for computers:

www.tigerdirect.com

so yeah...recap:
gaming= not decent
W/ Vista= not decent
Internet, job, other= Decent

Seems good. The only thing I would suggest is consider 1600 RAM. The reason I say this is because when you are doing video editing it actually makes a difference. Not a super huge difference but its noticeable. Also try check out the 2600K because it makes it easier to overclock. If you aren't interested in overclocking at all then stick with the 2600. GFX looks good for gaming and video editing as well. Nice system :)

It s a decent system but not really a mean machine.

512 MB RAM is something that you should look at
Your Hard disk is ok, but if you are into games then you might want to have a bigger hard disk.

Its a good enough system, but its decent for (yesterday and) today, not tomorrow.

Sounds lovely but i would recommend getting some more RAM- make sure you match it's operating speed with that of the CPU.

fantastic set up though, those speakers must be magic!

I wouldn't pay more than 200 bucks for it, cause you can get better than that in package computers. plus if you do any gaming, half a gig of ram and only 80 gigs of hard drive will kill ya quick as heck.

It will be fine unless you want to play any new games. If you do it is worth the money to buy mor RAM.
