I think you may have made one huge generalization about a few people who make huge generalizations....just like I can't understand exactly what they are talking about, I have to point out your assessment seems equally ambiguous...

First off; America isn't a Democracy. It never has been, and never will be. It's a Representative Republic, ran on the promotion of freedom and liberty.

Second; when it comes to push and shove, America isn't free. You don't have the rights to marry whoever you want. A woman doesn't have the right to choose her course of becoming a mother. You certainly can't say anything derogatory about the war in Iraq or the President, or FOX News will be on you like crust on white bread.

So, you're pretty much wrong. America ISN'T a Democracy, and when push does come to shove, we're not all that free.

First of all, we aren't a Democracy to begin with, we're a constitutional republic (study before you inquire)

Secondly, we desire that our civil liberties be returned (such as Habeas Corpus, again, research it) and our free speech unfettered. And also, we would like the freedom to speak without government officials surreptitiously eavesdropping.

It isn't anything that we haven't had before, abolish the PATRIOT act.

I live in Massachusetts- the STATE of the liberals.

But I have never heard a liberal say that.

I consider myself neither liberal nor conservative, btw.

If your talkin about the democratic congress, they could do something about the situation but theyre too busy kiss ***'n with the white house. And if it's those far left radical hippies, to hell with them. Theyre just as nuts as Bush and his far right winged conservatives.
