Well, I've worn both prom and bridesmaid's dresses (as well as my own wedding gown), but as to what happened when I was wearing them that you'd like to know about, I can't tell without your finishing the question :-)
I'm seeing from some of the responses that you might be asking *where* they were worn - the only time I wore the bridesmaids dresses was at the events in question, although I did wear a prom dress to a couple of other formal occasions later on. The only bridesmaids dresses I ever wore simply hung in my closet after the weddings in question. That's one reason I made SURE that my own bridesmaids' dresses were very simple and functional - straight, simple, wine-red velvet, long-sleeved, with a small amount of satin trim - no flowers ;-). I happen to know that all three of my bridesmaids later used the dresses for other events.

we don't have prom in australia.
but i wore a lovely dress to my year 12 formal (kinda promish) and i looked HOT man lol
and i was a bridesmaid a few years back, and didn't look all that hot to be honest! the dress was not a flattering one, but hey, who cares? i had a fun day and bride had the best day of her life! what more could you ask for? xx

I wore my prom dress to prom, and then wore it again when I went on a cruise and ended up wearing it to another prom and a few more functions! It was all black...came in handy!

Skipped the proms. I wore a bridesmaid dress at my best friends wedding. They're not bad to wear, but they don't have pockets.... :)
