oh no, thats just a funny old wives tale. There is no medical evidence of this. I have 2 boys and carried them each different. with my first I was huge and carried him "out" my second boy I carried in front and compactly and people couldn't tell I was 9 months pregnant sometimes. With my daughter I was just "huge" i was all baby and belly and people kept asking if I was going to have twins. btw- my boy that i carried compactly and in front was my biggest baby of the three.

No. there is no actual Medical documentation on it.... its an old wives tale... you can go to babyzone.com and sign up its free, and they have a number of the old wives tales and tell you which ones are true... But what I understand and I have had a boy and a girl.... With the girl I carried way down low... like I had a pot belly. And with my boy he was way up top... but it can go either way.

there is not medical information for this. It is an old wives and Chinese method. I usually find it to be true, unless the woman is toxic and has fluid retention.. then she shows all over anyway. Girls are like a ball in front, and boys, you look pregnant from every angle

Every saying like that is unsubstantiated and untrue. I mentioned to my sis-in-law when I was around 8wks pregnant that I had headaches and a bad earache in my left ear. She responded, "that's the hormones and means you're carrying a girl." She was right, it WAS the hormones, but my ultrasound a few weeks later revealed it was a boy.

Not only is every pregnancy different from woman-to-woman, it's different every time you're pregnant too.

Im not really sure. My family always said if you carry high its a girl and if you carry low its a boy. It may not be true but it worked for every baby in my family way back since my dad was born and trust me, thats a lot of babies! lol It is also true for me, I am carrying high and I am having a girl in september! I am high enough that I havent needed maternity pants, my lowriders still fit! I guess Im kinda lucky on that aspect! I also heard about a chinese birth calendar, it is supposed to be 93% accurate, may be worth looking into! Good luck!

It's not true, that's an "old wive's tale", how you carry has nothing to do with the sex of the baby... nothing can "tell" you except seeing the baby via ultrasound, etc. or by testing the baby's DNA...
