u see i may or may not be pregant. i fully intend on becomin pregant but my mom said that i would have to abort. i will not do that and i was wondering if she has the right to do that.

Who cares what your mom says she's going to do. You should'nt have a baby anyway, simply because you're not of an age where you can even be sure your whether or not your mom can control you.
Babies are not a novelty. They're not dolls.
...also, on average, you can expect to spend an extra $500 per month for each child. If you can afford that, plus mortagage/rent, food, electricity, gas, water, clothes, insurance, car payments, taxes, etc., and still have time for your baby... then have the baby by all means.

unless the child is endangering your life, and if the child has something seriously wrong with it, like severe retardation, or something like that then I think abortion is ok, but if the child is healthy then no...abortion shouldn't be an option. adoption would be the best option. you must be pretty young in order for your parents to make you abort your pregnancy...I suggest you wait till you are older and married before you get pregnant. babies are a lot of hard work, and take a large toll on your life. once you have children your life stops. no going out to party's or anything like that. so be sure you are up for that.

darling are you sure???? no one can take your baby away from you but would you be doing the right thing? a baby is not a toy and deserves every chance in life to have the best opportunities, do you have a house, an income, a supportive network, an education? Have you given yourself a chance to enjoy your life. I know you might want that love and to give it but the best thing to do is wait and love yourself first. doesn't sound like you and your family get along, are you trying to prove you will do a better job? Sometimes you outgrow your family when you don't see eye to eye but wait till your an adult then what your mother has to say will not effect your desicions in the slightest.

How can she make you do that bad thing? You will never be the same if you abort. Call Social Services or look in the yellow pages. Since Catholics do not believe in abortion, they should be able to suggest organizations to help. Anti-abortion groups will help too. I usually do not disagree with parents decisions, but this decision is wrong, wrong, wrong. Please keep my address on your record and if you cannot find somebody to help you, maybe I can help. Hopefully, there is an anti-abortion person on this site who will help. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. LISTEN, you should not have sex until you are married. Did you know that when you have sex, you are supposed to be married? Did you know that making love is what it should be called but today, it is not making love, it is nothing and nothing brings no good.

I don't think so. You could contact your states social services to be sure. You don't mention how old you are, but I'm assuming your a minor or this wouldn't even be an issue. I hope your not planning on getting preg. just to spite your mom. Just make sure you are taking your time and thinking through any decisions you make. Maybe you should post a question to some young moms out there and ask their advice about getting preg. on purpose. Their advice might help you make a better informed decision about this.

My advice to you is wait until you are older, but if you do get pregnant, you do not have to have an abortion if you do not want too- however much your mom tries to force you. Please consider waiting until you are married to have a baby- Remind your mom though of the dangers to you if you have an abortion. I cannot understand someone who is already a mom , could even consider an abortion ,especially if it was going to be their granddaughter or son. Hang in there, and think this through, my dear,

She can't make you have an abortion but if I was her I would lock you up and not let you anywhere near whoever the guy is that would be helping you make this baby. Your poor mom will probably end up being the one who has to care for the baby. Unless you are out of her house and on your own already, it is selfish and WRONG to decide to have a baby. You should reconsider and stop being selfish. You are not thinking about the potential baby or about whoever is supporting you. They will be the one's supporting the baby also.

I believe she would have the right to say that if you live in her home. If you would like to go into foster care, have your baby and then put it up for adoption. If you want to keep the baby, then the state where you live can put you on welfare and you can live in a small apartment with your baby. If you were my daughter and are intending to become pregnant, I would drive you down to the welfare office because you would not be living with me. I would not stand by and let you ruin your chance for future happiness.

It depends on where you live. Some places your parents have the right if you are under 18 and other places if your under 16, but most places also say you have to agree. Some places will take it to a judge if you disagree with your parents. You should try to look up the law in your area!

No. In most cases the parents have the right to make decisions regarding the health of their minor children. However, in matters of reproduction, ONLY YOU have the right to decide, not your parents, not the father of the baby for that matter.
