Operation Northwoods was a classified 1962 plan by the US gov't to commit terrorist attacks against its own citizens. Here are some excerpts:
"3. A "Remember the Maine" could be arranged in several forms:
a. We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba.

4. We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.

8. It is possible to create an incident that will demonstrate convincingly that a Cuban aircraft has attacked and shot down a chartered civil airliner enroute from the United States to Jamaica...
a. An aircraft at Eglin AFB would be painted and numbered as an exact duplicate for a civil registered aircraft.... At a designated time the duplicate would be substituted for the actual civil aircraft and would be loaded with the selected passengers, all boarded under carefully prepared aliases."

Sorry Eric, but those excerpts are verbatim, with the exception of editing to remove immaterial passages in the interest of space constraints.

And the plan envisioned a TERROR CAMPAIGN in Miami and even Washington. Paragraph 4, page 8 of the classified document.

What do you think terror entails, just someone jumping out and shouting "BOO!"?

Read paragraph 4 on page 8 of the document found here. You'll see.

You're wrong, but that never stopped people like you from believing what you want to believe anyway.

Yeah sure Stony, the documents are fake.

And we didn't land on the moon either. It was all done on a soundstage.

Where did I say anything about 911 in my question, YOU?

A bit paranoid, aren't you?

Well neeno, I'd remind you that only a plan is needed for the crime of conspiracy to be complete. There is no requirement that any overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy be undertaken.

So your point that it was only a plan is largely irrelevant to my point that the US government has been willing to deliberately commit crimes against its own citizenry in the past. You see, once the Operation Northwoods plan was completed, the crime against the US people was also complete.

My motive? I could have any or all of several motives. I could be questioning the governments use of "the war on terror" as illegitimate. I could be questioning 911, though I have not specifically mentioned it. I could be questioning the Bush administration's use of "terror" as a bunch of lies justifying sweeping civil rights incursions.

Or I could simply be trying to open some previously unopened eyes.

This is nothing new, the US government has been conducting secret attacks against its own citizens for years. I was looking for information on the bacteria attacks in the New York City subway system in the l960's and came across much more than I had bargained for. See: http://www.chemtrails911.com/docs/human_experiments.html.
Keep up the good work. I wish there were more people here who are not afraid to dig for the truth and will not bury their own heads in the sand when they find it.

The government admits that there was a propsal called "Operation Northwoods". and it was just that a proposal. President Kennedy refused the proposal and that is the end of it. There were many proposals put forth during that time frame, some classified, some not, some good, many poorly concieved. Like any institution the goverment will look at a wide range of options to deal with issues as the arise, just because some one proposed it, don't think it would be considered seriously. I suggest that you study up and the Cuban crisis of the early 60's, the Bay of Pigs, etc. you might be surprised at what you will find.

By your posting this in the way that you did leaves a lot of questions of your motive. Are you attempting to say this is what happened at the WTC? Many people try to use this as proof for the WTC events, so your are going to get some nuts replying here.

I've heard of it. In fact I have read it from a reliable source, and it has nothing to do with committing terrorist attacks on U.S. citizens, or anyone at all.

It was during the cuban missle crisis and even though we were going to do something about it, the government wondered if they had to do more to get Americans behind an invasion in Cuba. So the proposal said that they should take a plane, possibly with college students going to spring break, and landing it at an air force base. The college students would be taken off the plane and put on another plane to take them where they are going. Then, the plane would be remotely controlled and blown up off the coast to make it seem as if the Cubans did it, which would hopefully enrage americans. No where in the proposal did it say any americans would be killed or harmed in any way. In fact, the proposal stated that they would insure no americans would be harmed.

Many conspiracy theorists love this proposal because they can chop it up and make it seem like the government wanted to harm americans. Also, many uneducated people read a paragraph or two and blow this proposal way out of perportion. Try to be better than the common liberal, read the entire document from a reliable source.

In fairness, a great variety of issues have been planned yet cooler heads have prevailed and the plans weren't finished. there have been some experiements the CIA finished against unknowing, unconsenting electorate of the U. S., however. They dosed some those with LSD and a few of them, unaware that something were achieved to them, grew to grow to be confident they have been going insane and panicked and committed suicide. the government additionally examined germ warfare against unconsenting electorate of the U. S., they theory the microbes have been extremely danger free yet there grow to be a minimum of one demise, in San Francisco, i think. the two those experiments against the electorate have been finished interior the 1950's. would not or not this is nice if public SERVANTS took their oath to uphold and safeguard the form heavily!

Bush has mercenaries on the ready for when he plans to attack the US. One recent article says:

"Subject: Bush gave himself dictatorial power on May 9th

President Bush signed a Executive Directive/Order into effect immediately that he now has the power to dismantle Congress. He has the power to lock up normal, law abiding citizens, if we refuse to take a mandated vaccine . He has the power to cancel the next PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS if some 'catastrophe' occurs.

If you value your rights, you MUST take action and call, fax, & write your senators & house reps. Why was there no congressional review of this before it took effect? God help us."

People across the country of every income bracket are realizing what's happening but the Neocon strategy has gone far ahead of what Americans are able to handle. Congressmen fear him. Their lives are threatened.

Continue to expect the unexpected.

Yes, I believe it. It seems as though once the crime was successfully done and enough time has gone by, the government couldn't care less if their own documents incriminate them. It's like the bank robber rubbing his stolen loot people's faces and going, "Nanny, nanny!"

I see there are people who don't believe this. It was in some declassified documents and is definitely true. Kennedy would not go along with it.

The U.S. has also attempted to kill Castro several times and overthrown several foreign governments. Makes you wonder doesn't it?
