I think so but they need to be the flowing kind that go below the knees and not the tight ones. Flowing dresses are much more modest than pants are because they don't show a woman's 'form' below the waste. When women wear these tight pants it creates an upside down "V" around their waist area that is really inappropriate for public display. The other reason is so they can greet men by doing a 'curtsy'. This form of bowing the head and holding her skirt outwards from her body is a sign that she acknowledges that she is showing respect to the male gender and that she is the weaker sex. It is a great way for women to greet men and shows a lot of class. Don't get me wrong, I am not against women wearing pants totally in public as long as they are feminine and not extremely tight, but I think in general, dresses and skirts should be worn more by them.

In 48 years I have never seen a female curtsy to anyone. Have you?

I do however, genuflect before taking my seat at church.

As far as fashion goes, You need to get into that market. Some women's fashion sense stinks, so if you could fix that we'd all be grateful.

I do not feel that should a woman curtsy to someone that she is indicating she is the "weaker sex" any more than I feel shaking hands with a man indicates that he is stupid.
A curtsy is a sign of respect. I thought for Royalty. I don't know.....

I guess it's a good thing you weren't around in the 20's when braless was all the rage, or in the 50's when form fitting was in. You must love the 70's with all the empire waist shirts and huge, flowing jeans, though.

Hippie.

By the way, while she's all gussied up and georgeous, what are you wearing? Wind pants and a Yankees tee? Better go find them dockers, son.

1. That is a COMPLETELY sexist thing to say. 2. What world do you live in anyway?? Curtsying died out decades ago! 3. WOMEN ARE NOT A WEAKER SEX. in fact, they are stronger than men in MANY ways, and I can prove it. can you: - bleed for an entire week without dying - have severe stomach cramps and live with it - be able to suffer period pains - live with having your menstrual period for the rest of your life - wear VERY skinny jeans (I'm saying this to annoy you) XD - poke your eyes a gazillion times with a sharp pencil without crying - go through the long, painful process of pregnancy I don't think you can do any of those. So ha! And curtsying isn't classy, it's boringly old-fashioned and just looks weird. Women can greet in a classier way than men. I mean, guys take hands and slap each others' backs. You call that classy? Try this: hold your hand up to indicate waving. That's pretty classy right there. And it takes only 1 step. Not 2. So you get this whole, "women are weaker than men" idea out of your sexist head, okay? *Plus, I can't STAND wearing skirts and dresses. They suck.* Welcome to the 21st century.

Hey and why not get men to wear dresses too?

I mean how many times have you seen guys wearing pants so tight that their "package" is defined for all to see? If anything guys need skirts more then women do!

And I bet they could toss off a nice curtsey as well!

That whole weaker sex thing, go up against any woman, no matter what they are wearing after you say that and I guarantee you will wake up castrated. And to think any woman would wear a dress to impress a want-to-be man like you.

I love skirts, especially the longer flowy kind. So much more feminine. They show self respect too. If you don't respect yourself, how can you expect a man to respect you? I really dislike tight pants, like you said, it is inappropriate and tacky. Ladies these days need to learn their place.

I've never, ever done a curtsy. However, I agree that women should wear more skirts and dresses.

What are you, the fashion police? Women have the right to wear anything they want. If you like modest dresses and skirts, then you wear them.

I think is good for women to wear skirts, it makes us more feminine and refresh. Short is good but not in public, is too provocative, long is way better, is more sophisticated.
