Yes, it does a soul good to get away for a while, to rest and give yourself a chance to be still and possibly do something for yourself that you have been putting off for a long time. Go somewhere that you can forget about the day to day routine, remember how it made you feel and then anytime you feel like you want to get away, go somewhere quite, close your eyes and picture yourself at that special get away, how it made you feel and just drift away for a while. Meditate like that, make it a habit and you will soon be able to escape the routine at will.

I think we all do. I know for me, the everyday gets to be pretty monotonous. Fortunately, I have 2 little ones that keep that from happening. But when I've completely pulled all my hair out, it's even good to get away from them for a few hours. Keeps me sane. Life is what you make it. You don't have to do anything. Of course there are responsibilities, but a little spontaneous action never hurt anyone. Throw yourself a curve sometimes and do something different. Your brain will thank you.

Very natural. We all need a break from routine now and again, whether its a weekend away or full vacation. We need to recharge those batteries. Two or three small breaks a years does wonders.

Yeah, it's the starting of summer for me and I already feel like I have a pretty set routine: wake up, watch tv, eat, Internet, and sleep. I am determined to make more of my time though. Maybe try reading a good book to escape for a while, or draw things you think of or places you'd like to be. Maybe start saving up for a nice long vacation. I don't know where you live, but try driving to the country to take in the silence, or driving to the city for a faster change of pace. I live in Florida, so I'm making up my mind to go to the beach this summer, to visit some museums, to read books, to draw in my sketch book, to cook new things, to visit some old friends, go to some concerts... think of some new things you'd like to try or new places you'd like to go. try making a list of things you'd like to do this week, this month, and this year.

Amen, sister! Every day I want to get away from the tedium. I am just burned out. I would like to feel more energetic and optimistic about my life, but it's hard when you're exhausted.

Every one needs a break from the norm. Change is always good to expand your thoughts. Even if it is just driving to a different town or city.

I really need to change my daily life. I need to hang out more with my friends. My boyfriend and work plus school is keeping me away from my personal life.

sure weekdays are consistently a similar repetitive, uninteresting recurring. Then the weekend comes and it extremely is over before you comprehend it and you start up as quickly as extra. I spend maximum weekdays waiting for the weekend, it sucks :)
