I thought about buying a ukulele. There cheep and i think easy to use. The only thing i could think of that was bad about a ukulele was that it isn't very popular. Should I buy one?

If you are interested in musical knowledge than you should definitely expand your musical intellegence in anyway possible. Always acquire skills when given the oppurtunity. If you want to play, then play. Never know where it could lead you or what door it could open. Who knows, maybe the world will be in demand for ukulele players in the next decade.

I recently rawked out on a uke at a local battle of the bands, i made up a simple chord progression and some catchy lyrics, added a bass line and a funky drum beat... instant classic. Haha but seriously, ukuleles are awesome: cheap, portable, easy and fun to use and everybody loves them. BUY ONE RIGHT NOW!!

A Ukulele was George Harrison's favorite instrument. He used it all the time, and had them all around his house. Also IZ is a great Ukulele player from Hawaii.

Yes. Otherwise the man that makes the one ukulele a year won't be able to sell it.

Don't waste your money on a ukulele. Buy a guitar.

Dude, play whatever you want and the heck with everyone else. I play instruments that are not popular either. The banjo is my main instrument, and I love it because it's something I want to do, and I love the sound of a banjo (check out Bela Fleck- awesome, awesome stuff). For me, popularity is irrelevant.

Because it is the best portable instrument. You can take it anywhere. Especially when travailing long distances in a car or on a plane. (I don't recommend playing it on the plane though)

Ukes are absolutely wonderful instruments.

Sure go ahead, enjoy yourself, then graduate to another instrument.
