There were two British prime ministers who served during World War (1914-1918). Herbert Henry Asquith, who served from 5 April 1908 to 5 December 1916 and David Lloyd George, who served from 6 December 1916 to 19 October 1922. There were six French prime ministers, but only two of them made a lasting impact. Rene Viviani, who served from 13 June 1914 to 29 October 1915 and Georges Clemenceau, who served from 16 November 1917 to 20 January 1920.

I hope I was any help to you.

Your question is both hideous and utterly untrue. The King and Queen were highly visible in Britain during the 2nd World War, including the early years of the war, when Britain, almost alone, had to fight against the Nazis. Perhaps you are confusing our monarchy with some European monarchies, who fled their countries..
