The lengths of the wires would not fit, there will be scratches, and the old car will look butchered and lose any resale value.
Sound systems are not that expensive. If you have to sell the older car, leave the sound system there. Buy a new system for the new car.

Only in an older new car. Never an older used car. Because if you put something in an older used car it'll get sad because it has already been rejected by previous owners. The new older car hasn't been rejected yet and won't know what happened to it by the time you took the sound system out. By then the new owner of the older new, now used, car will have no idea why his car is sad and doesn't have a stereo. Hang onto the old sound system and put it in the car when you are ready to resell it, or take it to the bone yard when you blow it up with you're amazing sound system.

yes. the sound system does not know what kind of car it is in. if you need to put the headunit n the new car you will probably need a new install kit and wireing harness. as far as speaker sizes if the old car and the new car have the same speaker size. 5.25, 6.5, 5x7, 6x9 ect. amps and subs doesnt matter. i however remommend buying a new amp kit and everything to start over with new wires but it is not manditory. hop this helpes

for the most part, yes you can. the only drawbacks would be the size and placement of speakers and/or amps. i would also suggest you use the quick harness adapters available at any good radio shop to prevent cutting up the wiring harness on both your radio and the car in a newer car as you might want to trade it in later and keep your sound system intact for your next one. good luck.

No.
*rolls her eyes*
Anything that you put into a car you can take out and transfer assuming that, for example, the speakers are the right size for the newer car or you're willing to do some fabricating...
