One coin tossed 3 times:

There are 2^3 = 8 equally-likely outcomes:
A 1 in 8 probability of 3 heads.
A 3 in 8 probability of 2 heads and 1 tail.
A 3 in 8 probability of 1 head and 2 tails.
A 1 in 8 probability of 3 tails.

This is row 3 of Pascal's triangle of course.

One coin tossed 4 times:

There are 2^4 = 16 equally-likely outcomes:
A 1 in 16 probability of 4 heads.
A 4 in 16 probability of 3 heads and 1 tail.
A 6 in 16 probability of 2 heads and 2 tails.
A 4 in 16 probability of 1 head and 3 tails.
A 1 in 16 probability of 4 tails.

This is row 4 of Pascal's triangle.

One coin tossed 5 times:

There are 2^5 = 32 equally-likely outcomes:
A 1 in 32 probability of 5 heads.
A 5 in 32 probability of 4 heads and 1 tail.
A 10 in 32 probability of 3 heads and 2 tails.
A 10 in 32 probability of 2 heads and 3 tails.
A 5 in 32 probability of 1 head and 4 tails.
A 1 in 32 probability of 5 tails.

This is row 5 of Pascal's triangle.
I hope the pattern is clear?
