Would a cd burner play dvds and dvd-rom games?

The only one I have heard of other than the Roxio Combo is this one...Cd-rom play dvd, cd and dvd-rom is software by Alcohol Soft (www.freedownloadscenter.com/Best/cd_rom-play-dvd)

No, a CD burner is just a CD read/write drive.

To play dvd's you'd need a DVD read or a DVD read/write drive (burner).

It depends on the kind of hardware you have there.

The newer Combo Drives can read DVDs and write/rewrite to CDs.

However, older plain CD writers/CD-Rewriters, usually without the DVD icon, can't read DVDs.

It all comes down to the kind of CD writer you have.

no..its only a burner.....you have to have the specified harware requirement for reading dvd

no, a combo drive would... or a dvd writer. or rewriter.

or a dvd drive.
