King Arthur existed (if he existed) long before the Knights Templar, however the MYTHS about Arthur started circulating while the Templars were at the peak of their power, and continued long after their suppression.

The Knights Templar was a group during the time of the crusades, made a great deal of fortune by establishing the first banking system where you could deposit in one place and withdraw in another. There is a debate however over the authenticity of King Arthur, some say it is purely fictional.
But, The Knights Templar came after King Arthur, if he existed.

King Arthur is a myth based upon pre-medieval kings. The Knights of Templar came significantly later. (They were attacked on Friday the 13, isn't that cool?)

what led to their down fall was the jealousies and greed of the Catholic Church that wanted their lands and their money..... It is a shame that most people don't read more about the Catholic Church, Which harbors a band of thieves and murders. If they could not get their way they sent in their armies and killed, robbed, and stole everything in their sights.................................................................
