Area 51, and a few other places like it are top secret military instillations.

while some people believe that the government is hiding extra terrestrial lifethere, in reality it is a testing center.

Area 51 is the place where the ytest new aircraft - they deny its existance andwhat goes on their because they do not want people, namely foreign intellegence personnel, to gain any knowledge of the next generation of U.S. military craft.

several famous aircraft thta wer tested at area 51 include the B1 Stealth Bomber, the F117 Stealth Fighter.

Although the U.S. government officially denies that Area 51 exists, it is designated on many official government maps. Some believe the highly-secure region is a place where the government tests new aircraft and other military hardware. Others believe it to be a holding place for any items the government doesn't want to public to know about, such as UFOs, extra-terrestrial beings, captured enemy aircraft, etc. I'm not aware of any legitimate official government site that can tell you anything about this, but I'd guess if you'd 'google' it, you might find a wealth of material, however factual. -RKO- 05/27/07

There are things the gov needs to keep secret for the protection of the U.S. for the advancement of information and weapons.... it is to protect you and I and no one else in the world needs to know....if you really have to know that bad then go get a high education in engineering and or physics and apply for a top secret security clearance and maybe you will someday find out..

area 51 is supposedly a alien testing site but its only a top secret air port and they do test some stuff. they hide it because they don't want the u.s. citizens to get freaked out and go on raid.

They moved out of Area 51 because so many dang people try taking a peek inside. It's vacant now. I'm not sure where they moved.
