I have a friend who bakes with gloves on, cause she doesn't like touching flour, or when it "clouds" up.

I am freaky about balloons. When I was a new mother (many moons ago) there was an item on the news about a girl who choked to death on a balloon. She was running with the balloon in her mouth, it popped and she inhaled it. I have 3 boys 14, 8 and 5 and I have never let them have balloons, they don't even ask anymore. My friends all laugh but they are VERY aware of the dangers now. It even says on the balloon package CHOKING HAZARD! I guess it is all the more surprising to most ppl because in most every other way I am so laid back. I am the one with all the kids at my house, with all the noise and chaos and it doesn't bother me but as soon as i see a balloon I freak! It is actually kind of funny now that I think about it.
