I was born, raised, and still live in Texas. It's not that Texans think that they are superior to everyone else in football. It's just that football is a BIG, BIG DEAL in Texas. I mean, have you seen some of the high school stadiums in the Lone Star State? IT'S SICK!! I will say this though, before the 2006 National Championship Game between USC and Texas, California people were talkin major trash, and so when Texas won, Texas people felt like they had the right. Also, most people didn't think Texas could win that game, so that's another reason why.

I give USC credit, they are a powerhouse, so when those Texas Boys won that game, it was like the feeling you get when you get that one girl you've always wanted, ya know? Texas fans were ecstatic!!

But, in your case, you've probably just ran across some arrogant, Texas people that are close-minded and think that Texas is the only state that matters. ALL TEXANS AREN'T LIKE THAT. I got friends from all over the world, man. I love to meet people from other places. Now, I am a Texan, so naturally I got Lone Star State pride, but I don't knock people or sports from other places. I root for Texas in every sport except the NFL, but that doesn't mean I don't respect somebody from a different state or from a different country. I mean, I was born and raised and live in Cowboys country, but I can't stand the Cowboys! I'm a stomp-down, hardcore Denver Broncos fan!!

Also, a lot of people, mainly rednecks, in Texas, got that whole Southern Pride thing going on. Now, those people are very arrogant as far as Texas and the rest of the South goes. But I've been to Cali, and Cali is beautiful, depending on what part you are in. The CHICKS OVER THERE ARE OFF THE CHAIN!! If you don't know what that means, it's a good thing, trust me!!

Wow! One game and it proves something? Who are these people that you know, oh so well, that say this to you about the superiority of Texas football? Or did you just see a movie? They let NFL draft High School students in Ca? Interesting that is. Unless you know some other league that drafts highschool students.

Longest winning streak, against who?

Anyway, what does it really matter?

Cuz they spend so much money on their high school stadiums in Texas!

High school football is a huge social thing, especially in rural Texas. This isnt' the same as being the best high school football.

Most college football teams recruit their players from within their own geographic region. And the winningest conferences are the SE conference and the PAC10.

In the central time zone (which is most of Texas except El Paso and the western panhandle), the winningest teams over the long run have been Oklahoma and Nebraska (from much smaller states than is Texas).

Big deal. Who cares it is a kids game played by boys of different sizes and ages. By the way, Gonealot, Bush was born and raised in Bridgeport Conn.
And Jeff, Don't mess with Texas is an old slogan against messing up the state with garbage. It is an alegory. But then you would not know what that is. And also most of the Cowboys are from other states. Get over it.

Well first of all the winning streak part of your argument has absolutely nothing to do with this, cause that team would not play in most cases teams outside of the state of California. I dont believe that Texas high school football is better than California, I do believe however that high school football is a bigger deal in Texas, to the players, schools, and communities.

Because they have some incredible talent. Ever check USA today or the Parade magazine of High School football all stars. Texas dominated.
I am from Nevada so my comments are objective.

Because texas is where Americas team resides, The Dallas Cowbloys. Due to this every school is related to football and they would always think that they are superior.

But the truth obviously is that they are not.

The competition in Texas football is extreme. Maybe because Texas professional football is much more superior that Californian professional football, they think its better. Really, football isnt that superior in any state. I would say Alaska, they showed it on some show and believe me, its nuts there.

simple Answer to a simple question. Texans have a lot of weird ideas,(look at G.W. Bush) among them is their ideas about football. The truth of the matter is they have been out in the sun too long and it's effected their brains.
