does it really matter? he's the most overrated player in the league by a longshot.
I'm sure people are still going to jock Kobe no matter where he ends up. he's a human highlight. people tend to overlook the fact that he doesn't play team basketball, and can't lead a team past the 1st round of playoffs due to that fact.
he owes 90% of his popularity to Shaq. LA wouldn't have dominated the league if he wasn't there to anchor the team.

Who the hell does he think he is demanding that the Lakers bring back Jerry West? He needs to think about bringing a legit big man to the team to help him out. As long that big man isn't more famous than him or doesn't score a lot of points...wouldn't wanna kill Kobe's ego now wouldn't we? He got what he deserves and now he desperately wants to catch up with Shaq in the ring dept. The score is now 4-3. Shaq is a God in Miami and Kobe is still looking for someone that's willing to play with him.
TUNE IN NEXT WEEK FOR ANOTHER BREATHE-TAKING EPISODE OF "AS KOBE'S WORLD TURNS".
Will Kobe ask to be traded? Will Jerry West come back and surprise everyone by trading Kobe anyway? Will Kobe call Shaq and apologize? Will Kobe put the ball down and stop shooting so much? Will Kwame Brown catch the ball? Will Kobe fans be forced to take a trip down memory lane and remember the good ole' days? We'll see.....

For the girl (f)akers. You should shut the hell up. Quit comparing Kobe to MJ. Kobe is Kobe and MJ is MJ. Kobe's not selfish. Kobe leads the team in assists. How the hell can you be a ball hog and selfish if you lead the team in assists. When he takes over a game, he has no choice cause his supporting cast is not doing their JOB. Nobody's helping Kobe. That's why he lead the league in points for the past 2 years. The only people comparing them is you. Fans like you give basketball a bad name. Go back to watching golf you ******. And you take Charles Barkley as a source. He hates everyone. Includung you. Barkley's just a joker. He couldn't even win a championship now he hates on everyone. And to answer the question. My answer would be no. I was a big Shaq fan when he was with the lakers. When he left, so did my like for him.I tend to be more of a Laker fan than an individual fan. Basketball is more of a business now and has no prestige or honor anymore. Everyone's worried about the big contract these days and forget about the loyalty to the franchise and to the city they represent. So if Kobe leaves, oh well. Nothing we can do about it. Most likley he'll end up staying anyways. Cause his wife says so. And if he tries to leave all she has to say is HALF!

Nope.
I can say that straight up! I'm a LAKERS fan first and foremost. I've been a Kobe advocate for years from the Kobe/Eddie Jones drama til now. I think he is THE greatest player in the game today and quite possibly the greatest scorer of all time but if he leaves the Lakers then he can just be out. I will have no problems heading up the Luke and Lamar fan club if no. 24 ain't around next year.
Let me put it to you this way .... DURING the Shaq/Kobe beef, I sided with Shaq. I thought Shaq was the best thing that happened to the Lakers since Magic. When he got traded I was sad for like an hour then it was all about my Lakers and who was left. Kobe was left so I had to defend him. I am still defending him today, but if he leaves then I can wash my hands of it and move on to start cheering for Bynum and Farmar.
Otis Williams said it best. "Ain't no one man bigger than the group! And don't you forget that."

Actually, he didn't say that, that was typical ESPN inflation, trying to make something bigger than it really is.
Also, I was a Laker fan long before anyone knew who Kobe Bryant was, and will stay one long after he's gone, so yeah, I'll still be a Lakers fan. It's not the name on the back of the uni that counts, it's the name on the front.
And to (F)akers, Jerry West didn't leave because of Kobe, it was because Phil Jackson pushed him out, that's pretty much common knowledge.

First of all, he never said that about Jerry West, that was just a rumor going around. Secondly, because I'm a Kobe fan he could go and play half way across the world and I would still love him. Wherever he may go in the future, I will still root for and support him because that is what a true fan does, but hopefully he will stay with the Lakers for the rest of his career.

by your defenition, i'm a Kobe fan. i admire watching Kobe play, because of the fact he's an stunning participant to visual show unit, and renowned besides the certainty that he's hyped up, he's a precise 5 participant interior the NBA, and precise 2-3 scoring smart. There are some actually Kobe followers who are not delusional on right here, including Nickster. regrettably, approximately ninety% of Kobe followers Jock him consistently. they might't answer a query with out talking of ways great there boy is, won't excpet any thoroughly life like clarification why anyone as properly of Kobe's the main suitable participant interior the league, and say anyone with a distinctive opinion than themselves is an fool. you recognize who they're. MC, Jack, Lakers very own Boston, Yahoo Sucks, etc. etc. Jockers hate extra effective than haters do.

I'm from so-cal. i'll always be a lakers fan.
I'm also a Kobe fan. I will ALWAYS respect his game, he's incredibly talented.
However, if he does get traded, i won't necissarily like the team he'd be traded to.
Like, if he got traded to the Rockets, i wouldn't become a Rocket fan just because of Kobe/
