A container can't be a square, as a square is a 2-dimensional object. I think you mean a cube, where all the sides are equal. A cube is just a kind of rectangular solid. The volume of a rectangular solid is just the width times height times depth. For a cube it's easy as they're all the same....so it's.... 6 x 6 x 6 or 216 cubic ft.

if it is a square container, then all the sides are the same length=6 ft. then use the volume formula : l*w*h =length*width*height, and in this case it's just 6 * 6 * 6 = 216 ft cubed

Do you mean a cube 6' on an edge? You need 3 dimensions for volume.
V=s^3=6^3=216 ft^3

Volume is found by multiplying Height by width by length.
A square is equal on all sides, so height = 6, width = 6, length =6.
6x6x6 = volume

well you only need one measurement fot this eqaution
since a square is equal on all sides every side would equal the same
and since you need 3 measurements , l x w x h, you can guarantee they are all the same
you multiply them together and add feet cubed

.... you're joking right. It's a cube, as in the properties of a cube are that all the edges are equal....
well anyway its simply 6^3=216
