exactly how old must you be to work at the mac counter in st charles mall?

im 16 but i turn 17 in less than a month & i would love to work @ the MAC counter.I have some experience with cosmetology,but i here they make you take trainig classes any way(which i would love to do) please give me as muchl 411 as possible..thanx

MAC requires employees to be 18. They do not give you training classes in makeup or makeup application. They give you training classes in product knowledge. Product Knowledge is very different from makeup artistry or makeup training. Product Knowledge is when a company teaches you about their products and a few key words you say to customers to get them to buy them. They won't teach you how to be a makeup artist if that's what you are looking for. You will get practice in doing makeup though, no matter what counter you work at. I know some larger department stores will allow under 18 employees at the counters but it's rare. The norm is 18 because the counter hours are always changing and they don't want to work around the restrictions. Any fill in hours are normally done by professional make up artists freelancing. Sorry. :( Ask around at the mall anchor stores. If it's not a freestanding MAC store you might be able to get in at a MAC counter in a larger store being under 18. It's up to management and their scheduling needs at the counters but freestanding stores always require 18 or over.

I ve skipped over some shows considering that I refused to observe Disney and sketch community.
