My brother doesn't believe we actually went to the moon. Does the goverment really know what it's doing? Or is it so important that it doesn't tell us of its inner workings, so that suspicion breeds like bunnies? Or does it just not care what we think at all?

Of course, no disrespect against my brother.

Conspiracies are a normal human failing-they are just like rumors. What isn't normal is continuing to believe them when FACTS don't back them up and the truth is not accepted.

Most people who continue with these screwball conpiracy theories are usually very fearful, less education, don't read and/or don't understand what they are reading.

When someone hears a "rumor" or a "conspiracy", the best thing to do is research it, read everything you can get your hands on. The problem comes in when the boobs don't want to take the time to find out the truth, they prefer to live in fear and ignorance and whisper to each other. They are small minded and cowardly.

You don't say how old your brother is but I hope he is under 6 or 7 years old. No one who attains late teens or adult age should have such an absurd opinion.

Always question everything.
Think back through your own life, have you ever done anything significant you didn't try to spin or cover up to make yourself look good or innocent? The government is the same, except they have a lot more on the line. Remember the difference between conspiracy and conspiracy theory. A theory has no evidence, the more evidence you have contrary to the official story, the more likely you are dealing with an actual conspiracy as apposed to a conspiracy theory.

Not so secretly, however I feel that the conspiracies approximately our western governments and organizations manipulating the general public and 3rd international nations via media and terrorism have advantage. Anyone right here ever learn any declassified records? They are filled with fake flag operations and different despicable movements. I would not be amazed if nine/eleven used to be recognized of upfront and influenced or facet of a covert operation. That nine/eleven used to be a conspiracy should not be a query....a conspiracy is simply a organization of individuals assembly in combination to plan, and it certainly used to be no coincidence. Oh, and the Bilderberg Group is truly, a host of politicians and international businessmen meet in combination, to talk in individual, and no longer a phrase is to be spoken of what used to be talked approximately in there. For years, the media has lied approximately them, announcing that the Bilderberg Group does not exist, however now they admit that it exists and brush it below the rug of small unimportant studies. What I do not have an understanding of, is while individuals feel that executive is dangerous and corporations are well or vice-versa. they each advantage from cooperation. EDIT: As so much of a devout well vs. evil loon as Alex Jones is, there's a wealth of expertise from newspaper articles that his internet site hyperlinks and a few fascinating info in a few his films.

Of course, it is NOT wrong to believe in conspiracy theories. Some of them may or may not be true, but there is at least a grain of truth in even those that have not been proven. It is a fact that the government lies to the people, to an extraordinarily shameful extent. The government cannot be trusted, and that is a fact! When the government respects enough to begin telling us the truth about everything, all the time, then and only then will they deserve respect from we the people. *sm*

In evaluating a conspiracy theory, one thing to consider is the number of people who would have to keep the truth secret. Some conspiracy theories about UFO cover ups are more believable than the one about the moon landing because only a few people were supposedly involved in covering up the alleged alien "visits."

A lot more people would have had to be involved in faking a trip to the moon.

Has your brother read the explanations many scientists give to refute the apparent evidence that we never landed on the moon?

It isn't wrong to believe in conspiracies when the verifiable and valid facts truly contradict what we are told.
This, however, is not the case with the moon landings. The landings were real - there is absolutely no doubt about this fact - your brother has been duped by a bunch of lunatics who simply don't know how to research the facts and easily buy into some idiot's wild theories.

I think conspiracy theories are the work of idle minds. Honestly, I don't think most government agencies, etc, are as dark and mysterious as people would have you believe. I mean, do you know how many people work in government? More people than you could imagine would have to be keeping these secrets if they were true. Look at NASA... how many people would have had to know about it being fake, if it really WAS fake? How come NO ONE has ever blown the lid on what would be the biggest conspiracy ever? There would be mega-bucks to do so... but no one ever has! And, another thing, how did that transmitter get on the moon if we didn't go up and put it there? LOL. No, my friend, conspiracy theories, and the people behind them, are just plain sad.

Will you be able to act on this belief in a way that would help shed light on the subject for others and then would this information better anyone's life? If not, it would seem to be a distraction.

I don't think it's wrong to question you're government. It's not a religion. We can theorize all we want. Who cares anyway about these theories. They're just theories. And until there is proof, it is just entertainment as far as I'm concerned.
