I'm trying to save up at the moment but I would like to have an amount to aim for.

My meals are provided for and I am not going to be bringing a car (the school provides a bus pass). I would like to have money saved up in case of meals off campus, movies, and etc.

I just wanted to know what amount to aim for.

At least $3500.00.

If you have tuition paid for, if not, bring tuition, plus $3500.00.

You will need money for books, beer, supplies, beer, living expenses, beer, food, beer, transportation, beer, clothing, beer, parking fees, beer, shoes, and don't forget, beer.

Well how long do you intend on attending college?

How many meals or snacks per week?

How many times per month to go to the movies?

What about laundry money?

What about personal supplies?

Won't you need money to get home during the holidays?

How about paying for clothes. Lab supplies, paper, pens etc.?

You need to also consider these in coming up with a sum of money to save for college. It also depends on your saving and spending habits. If you are a good saver then you will probably achieve your savings goal. If you are a easy spender thenyou will have a very hard time achieving your savings goal.

Set a realistic goal and stick to it.

Good Luck!

Depends on how much you are already set up as far as supplies, room furnishings, etc. Also a huge factor will be if you have to buy your books. If you will, plan on at least $500 for books alone. GL and congrats at continuing your education. You won't regret it at all.

it's hard to say...i would take whatever amount you spend on entertainment in high school and add a little to that, since you have more independence in college.
