Have lost both (still have a few family photo's) and got another ring.
There are so many worse things that can happy, if you have your health the rest is just dressing anyway.

I would rather lose a wedding ring because it can be replaced, but losing family pictures is like losing precious memories.

A wedding ring is replaceable. Those photos can't be duplicated.

My wedding ring had to be cut off when I had surgery. I haven't replaced it yet but plan to on anniversary next month. Photos can't be replaced.

My wedding ring is a one of a kind, and irreplaceable like my family photos... I'd have to choose my rings.....
