Does the government use this sort of technology to do this sort of thing to people you think? How about new televisions? I heard somewhere that maybe there are some things in those that spy on people. What do you think? Really, I am so serious. If it's true, how does that make you feel? What do you think about it? That scares me.

If anybody knows about the tv's also, please tell me...do you think there is something in those or not? I'm really not a paranoid person...I just find it so invasive...you know?

Yes it is true, that's why the government has such a deficit. They are spending too much money paying people to watch everything we do, in case we don't agree with them, they can come up with a plan to kill us.
Seriously though, in my area now they are putting cops in 18 wheelers so they can see what people are doing in their cars when they pass by. I don't want anyone to know what I'm doing in my "perceived privacy" because it might not be what they want me to do. They can do it. They will do it if the situation warrants. I think it is a damned disgrace.

NO... satellites are limited by orbital mechanics for viewing times and length, and optics for pictures (usually can ID a type of car (1 foot resolution), but can't read a newspaper headline much less a "quarter" Some UAV and reconnaissance aircraft can go finer on the resolution. There are radar satellites that can penetrate the ground... but they really only show something the size of a ROOM, not what is IN it !!

One thing an FLIR / IR System CAN detect is a house that is VERY warm because of growing lamps for "weed"... and the local / state cops can then check your power bill to see if it is over the "normal"... yep, they'll catch your mary-jane farm... or your meth lab. But they're not going to catch you dancing nekkid to an old disco record.

The TV issue is urban legend... what you should be concerned about is your credit cards and Internet usage !! THAT can track you like a bloodhound !! It will tell what sites you visit, when, where and how you spend your money.

To answer your FOLLOW on question... yes, there is technology (FLIR & Thermal) that can penetrate a wall... but only at 200-500 yards. It's bulky as heck. Hearing, yes a laser pointed at a window can measure the vibrations and convert to sound... but an fridge or AC or other motor appliance defeats it.

How does it make me FEEL ?? I used to have the FBI and NSA reviewing me.... within the law. I act within the law I have no problems !!

I do not believe sats can look into houses since the machinery to do this is quite large and leaves a rather distinct physiological footprint. I suspect we don't have this equip on the International Space Station... yet.

You are, however, very well within your right mind to be afraid. I think we all should be very afraid! I have a new "tech" HDTV and cable, my internet is done via wireless router connections and can easily be traced back to me (not that I do anything anyone would be overly interested in) and I am also a "HAM" operator and a sailboat owner. Better to have it and not need it than the opposite!

Satellites can see people but through walls probably not maybe thermal stuff through walls about the tvs don`t think so.
Do you watch lots of The X Files.

Like the guy above me said they can read a quarter from space. All police helicopters have infrared scanners that can, to a degree, "see through walls".

About the TV's...why do you think all the companies are pushing us to get all of our communication services(TV, Internet and Telephone) through one source? And yes all of the new digital flat screen TVs have a "special" pixel that is in fact a camera. You've heard of "interactive" cable TV right? Yeah that means it is a two way connection.

With the upcoming collapse of the US dollar (probably sometime this summer) and the advent of the "cashless society" there really will be no place to hide.

They cannot "see" through walls, but they can use infered to see general positions of individuals.

Not so much the TVs, but your cable/satellite company tracks the channels you watch and the government can get that anytime they want....Also your internet usage, toll booths you pass through, credit card records, etc., etc., etc.

But it's only to keep you safe. Don't mind that man behind the curtain. Go back to sleep sheeple.

current spy satellites can read a quarter on the ground and tell you what year it was minted in. Using infra red and ultra violet technologies it is possible to see into houses from a shorter range like across the street for example.

Sure they can......But Superman is always vigilant. When he comes upon one of these satellites he takes it up to the rings of Saturn. The government is catching on to it, though, and are starting to coat the outside of the satellites with Krypton so Superman can't get close.

I understand that Batman is in training to take his place - so don't worry.

Just like in the movies, people can be monitored through cameras connected to satellites according to Intelligence agents but cannot be presented in court proceedings but only in support of gathering evidence. This is scary but probably true due to the advances of technology.

Hate to spoil the fun but no, satelites can't peer into your home and your TV isn't watching you watching it.
