Well I kinda had to be induced with my daughter. The reason is because my water broke. I wasn't having any contractions and my cervix was still closed and really thick, she was my first baby. Anyway, I had to be given pitocin to start contractions and from start to finish I think I was in labor for 11 hours and had a natural vaginal delivery. So it wasn't that long and it seemed much shorter!!

I was induced and my labor only lasted 6 hours. My baby came out in 4 pushes. And he is my first baby! Good luck!

NO! I was induced with my first and they put some gel in the night before to start the contractions and nothing happened. I was booked in at 8am that morning to be induced and I sat there with the drip in my arm from 8am-1pm like nothing was happening and then the contractions started and I had her at 4;47pm.
So my labour was only from 1pm til almost 5pm!
And that was my first you have had other kids so you will be fast once they give you a kick start.

Not necessarily, but the contractions are totally different, which I wasn't prepared for at all! With natural labour, the contractions ebb and flow, they build up... but with being induced they just kind of slam into you, and are way more painful because you haven't had the natural buildup to them.

i don't know about making it longer but Ive heard that inducing artificially can make it more intense.
