I've created my first web site, but Google as well as Yahoo search engines don't see it. Should I register my site with Google?

Don't be disheartened but it can take weeks even months for your site to be indexed.
To start with, use this free service to check how well your site is optimised:
http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/
then use their free meta tag generator to upgrade your site if necessary.
Next try and get some links from similar sites that are already indexed and preferably have good page rank. That way the search engines will follow the links to your site.
Next create a blog and write some articles with links back to your site and /or publish articles or press releases informing people of your site.
You can inform the search engines of your site (with Google, sign in and go to Webmaster Tools and then add your site - you will be required to add an html code verification to your page) but I have found that it makes little difference to the time it takes to get indexed.

Did you host your website in internet by any provider ?.If it is not means get the web hosting service then only you can make your website visible in Google. To get the web hosting service you can use any online vendor service like http://www.tucktail.com/hosting/web-hosting_4.aspx?ci=837 25&prog_id=447401 .After getting the service your website will be visible in Google .Also you can get high page ranking in Google with the SEO service.SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the activity of optimizing Web
pages or whole sites in order to make them more search engine friendly, thus getting higher positions in search results. When you search any keyword using a search engine
then it displays thousands of results found in its database. A page ranking is measured by the position of web pages displayed in the search engine results. If search engine is putting your web page on first position then your web page rank will be number 1 and it will be
assumed as with a high rank.

How about sharing the link to that page, Karen, so we can look at it. Since I can't, my guess it you need to build meta tags for key words. So you place the key words you anticipate people to type into the search engines like "rental house" or "rental howse" or "rental houses chicago". Also, your should have some referential text in it. And lastly, submit your site to the search engines.

 2016-03-13 00:39:33 · answer #5 · answered by Anonymous · 0⤊ 0⤋

I have asked the same question 2 times, and didn't get a good answer

 2016-08-24 03:51:23 · answer #6 · answered by cara 4 · 0⤊ 0⤋

I feel best way is to update your website regularly. The freebie publication of your domain name at Google can be done at "http://google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl". In a sense, these search directories are a very large Internet Yellow Pages.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which, when observed and committed in designing of a website with placement of various critical metatags that can surely achieve a high search engine presence and increase Internet traffic to your website. These metatag strategies work well with published webpages at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based website, make sure to fill-in the property entries such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can be readily indexed by search robots.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text, is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which should consist of no more than 65 characters separated by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which best describes one's goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which is defined as the loading, and submission of repetitive words into a particular metatag category. "Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported to Google's spamreport.com can result in the elimination of your website from their search directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on Yahoo.com: Begin with the search query "pizza downtown los angeles." It will bring up some 1.4 million+ websites as results. Check out where "Pizza Next Door" is ranked. It's in the Top Five! Again, Pizza Next Door's high web presence was achieved by proper web design and placement of relevant metatags according to Yahoo's publication guidelines.

Good luck!

 2007-05-27 21:31:53 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 1⤊ 2⤋

I think so

 2016-07-29 06:21:16 · answer #9 · answered by ? 3 · 0⤊ 0⤋

Advertise with them, you should go here: http://bizsolutions.google.com/services/

 2007-05-27 15:52:56 · answer #10 · answered by Fly, Eagles Fly 4 · 0⤊ 2⤋

fedest.com, questions and answers
