please help i have an undergravel filter and sence i will be using crushed gravel i need to know if I can still buy a

It should still be okay. Are you running the filter with a powerhead? If so, are you running it in the normal direction of reversed?

If you're running it in the typical direction (where water is pulled down through the gravel and up the tube), you'll get organic matter the builds up under the filter and it may periodically need broken down to be cleaned. But it will pull any debris down into the substrate where it will be eaten by your cleanup crew and sifters. If you run a powerhead in reverse (not all can do this), it pulls water out of the tank and blows it up through the substrate. This lessens the change for clogging underneath the filter plate (and the need for cleaning), but you might not have as much organic matter in the substrate for your sifters.

yes it would be fine as long as its somewhere on coral or sand or somewhere it wont get sucked on by the filter
