I think if he's charged and convicted his *** should go to jail for a long time. Dog fighting is cruel and in humane. What does everyone else think about this waste of sperm?

It will be interesting to see how this story pans out. I am hoping they have more evidence tying him to this crime beyond one eye witness' testimony.
That said, if he's convicted, dog fighting is a felony is Virginia. I think it's safe to assume that if he's found guilty, he'll see some jail time.

I'm not a big conspiracy guy, but somebody is covering things up for Michael Vick.

First his water bottle gets caught by the TSA. Weeks before the lab results were supposed to be back, they said there were no drugs, the bottle went missing, and the videotape was illegally destroyed. Mike comes up with that patronizing story about hiding jewelry in the bottle, and no authorities challenge him.

Then his house gets raided for dog fighting, and the prosecutor initially says he'll bring charges immediately. After a few days, despite eyewitness accounts, massing evidence, and rumors of a video showing Vick at the fights, the DA says he doesn't want to pursue the case.

I don't know if this is the league, the Falcons, or somebody Vick keeps on retainer, but there are clearly coverups here, and it's high time they stop. Michael Vick is a plague on society; a wanna-be gangster with money and media attention. He needs to be imprisoned, then we can all see how evasive he is when he tries to pick up the soap.

Even if he isn't convicted, Roger Goodell (the new NFL commissioner) will probably suspend him for a good amount of time. He is really focusing on cracking down on bad behavior by players this offseason. The best example is the unprecedented sentence for Pacman Jones, the cornerback for the Tennessee Titans. He has been suspended for the 2007 season with a re-evaluation after the 10th regular season game because he was involved in a strip-club shooting (note that he wasn't even the one doing the shooting).

If guilty he MUST go to jail or else the belief that many athletes are above the law will be reinforced within there minds. Unfortunately for Vick someone has to be made an example.

His house was being searched on a drug charge when police found the dog fighting evidence. Don't forget his searching out women as Ron Mexico and deliberately, knowingly giving them a social disease. This guy is a genuine creep who should be called to the NFL carpet as a failed hero, and no TD run is going to change this feeling.

His brother Marcus and cousin Aaron Brooks are not great either.

Ron Mexico, aka Michael Vick, is THE perfect example of why quarterbacks need all four years of college. I think that, if convicted, he should do time. Besides, it's likely a hereditary trait - his brother's not very bright either.

It just goes to show that some of these athletes surround themselves with the wrong people. I'm sure Vick has a posse of leeches that are spending his game checks and giving him bad advice. I think it's pretty obvious he is aware of the goings-on at his place, and one of his thugs is going to try and take the fall. I bet the Falcons ownership is really kicking themselves for letting Schaub go. Pray for strength, Falcons fans, if you have to watch Joey Harrington start any games this season.

anyone who participates in this kind of activity should go to jail. not probation or fines/restitution but jail, and not because its inhumane (which it is) but simply because it is a felony in most states and i beleive illegall in every stae, i could be wrong about that but, it is a felony at vicks house. and when did not knowing what goes on in your home or car or any other place where you have responsibility to make sure nothing illegall is going on get you a pass. i dont beleive him and ignorance cannot be used as an excuse

I agree! I told my boyfriend that if the NFL doesn't get rid of him that football is banned in my house.....

He is a piece of **** and he can't blame it on his brother because I would know if my sister was fighting pitbulls and I don't live with her.

MICHAEL VICK SHOULD ROT IN HELL!
