Well what i find helps and may help you too is sit down in a quiet place where you can b alone for a bit.
Take out a piece of paper and pen and start writing down the goals you have and the things you want to happen and when.
Write down what you hope to accomplish in your life and what would make you happy.
Write it all down one by one!! And then sit back and read it!!
It helps when it is in black and white and staring back at you it makes it more real somehow.
When you are done then put it in order of what needs to be done first second and onwards.
You also need to be realistic and when things just dont fit then you need to rethink it and prioritise on which is more important etc.
Wish you the best!! dont stress!! You will be okay!!

step away from the situation if you can. distance helps remove the influences that make critical thinking difficult. so often, we actually know what we need to do deep down. It's just hard or painful so we put it off. we know we will come out better once we fix the problems, but our natures are sluggish and tend to be afraid of the unfamiliar, even when the familiar is not right.
good luck to you.

Well...thats an interesting question. I think different people do different things. I like to go to a very quiet place and sort out all the things in my mind and whats bothering me. Thats a process too cause it takes alot of energy to dwell and sort out those kinds of things. Just take your time and really dig down into your mind and be honest with you and your feelings. Its not always easy but it may help you...

Don't do anything. Give it a rest. Listen to your inner self and to your needs. You need to make things right within you before you can know what direction you want to go in. So stop, be still and be silent, clear your mind, and the answers will come.

you should write everything down: list things in pros and cons. When you see things visually, it helps.
