Who said we can't? The guys.... and gals, on the Internernational Space Station are doing it as we speak....er, type. You can be on any space ship, moon, etc and orbit the sun at the same time.
Why, is probably cost prohibitive. Like for instance, the cost of the space shuttle. I'd like to have one, but can't seem to afford it right now.

I don’t know how you got that idea, probably from the same person who said men never walked on the moon.
The longest stay in space, so far, is

That’s a year, even a leap year, so they circumnavigated the sun in space NOT on the planet

Who said so? We can go around the sun in a space craft. What we are doing is the easiest way, not the only way.
