Thanks,

The check engine light comes on to tell you there is a problem with the emission system of your caravan.Take it to your dealer for repair. Most of the emisson system is covered five years 50k miles. And should be repaired at no cost.

It should still be under warranty. I would take it to a dealership. You really shouldn't need to put STP in your gas. With only 22,000 miles there shouldn't be any buildup on anything. Especially with the additives that are already in the fuel. But that also depends on where you buy your gas. The check engine light could be telling you one of many different things. Could be throttle position sensor, O2 sensor, crank angle postion sensor, cylinder head temperature sensor, and the list goes on and on. I would first call a dealership and see if you are under warranty. If not then I would go to Autozone and let them hook it up for free and tell you what the computer is trying to tell you. It's just a guessing game until you know the codes.

It's nothing to be alarmed about. Certain mileages will set this off. When you go to the dealer, and they check it with a code reader, it's a good possibilty that it signifies you need an oil change or something. Auto Zone can help you. They have code readers. That is a device for a certain make or model vehicle that plugs into your vehicle, and tells exactly what that light is trying to tell you.

Check engine light is what they call "dummy" light. It just means that SOMETHING is wrong. Besides taking your car to the dealer or autozone, I would suggest that you go buy a ODB II scanner for your future problems. It is cheaper to know then to visit a dealer for every visit (unless you go to autozone).

Autozone have some ODB II scanner are as cheap as $60.

i would get a large caliber weapon and take it out on the post office. oops wrong question. psst. check the gas cap. make sure it is on tight. this can set off the cel. advanceauto also can check it out for you. ps. sell that caravan at about 60k before the trans goes out on u.

Until you have it scanned for codes, it could be any thing. I think you may have a loose gas cap but until you say what codes you have, I am only guessing.

just take it over to autozone and ask them to put the meter on it, it could be a glitch or something very minor
