You know, like with the hip hop crowd and such. How did this get started and does it mean something like "I'm a Gansta"?
Does it mean something else?
I mean what is the deal?

I don't know.....but I do know that for women at least, it is healthier. To much pressure on the waste isn't such a great thing.

I took East Indian dance for a while and our teacher insisted that tight waste bands and waste bands in general, encouraged fat to accumulate below the belly button. I suspect there was an energy issue as well. There is a chakra there isn't there?Who am I to argue. Honestly nothing should be overly tight!

This stuf is just an expression of a generation, time and place. Hmm, maybe there is meaning to it.

Peace!

It's called "sagging" and I hear you can get up to a 500 dollar fine for it. I guess the people who do it have such short attention spans that they forget what they're doing everyday when they put their pants on, either that, or they're just plain stupid.

You know what when I was younger I thought that was the style for men to wear their pants like that, now that I've grown up I can see why all the adults would fuss about it, it looks ridiculous. I've been told that the saggy pants stuff started in prison, and it was a way to let other men in prison know they were gay.

umm most.....id say 99% of teens do not wear there pants at there waist. your waist is where your belly button is. this is considered in stores as high rise or even extra hiegh rise, most teens wear there pants at there hips or even below, it is called lowriding when your boxers stick out of the top, (for guys) low rise to extra low rise is the current fashion, wait high....is slightly disturbing and considered grandma pants

its just the style now. like it or not kids are going to wear their pants below their waist's. it may be the influence of their idols on T.V. or that they want to be like everyone else. the times change, and with them the style so until the style changes again, kids pants will be below their waists.
