I've just migrated to Bt and i've got one of their new wireless hubs, but it keeps crashing every half an hour or so. As usual BT are a load of india call centre s**te who haven't a f**king clue. anyone know of a fix.

Pardon the language, but i fed up with having to turn my hub off and on every 20mins.

you can't get newer firmware for these hubs, as it automatically downloads it when it becomes available.

I've also got a netgear router from my aol days, but it won't work with the bt software installed, and i don't wan't to bint the BT hub just yet unless there is no other solution.

You can try asking BT for a new firmware, unless you use the phone service off the BT-hub, I would suggest a Netgear DG834G

I too had problems with the BT hub. I was already with BT, but using a Linksys hub. I wanted to change for the free voip calls. Connecting the BT hub seemed to coincide with a really significant drop in line performance. I went back to the linksys. This was easy to set up and has been excellent.

I know exactly how you feel...i did the call centre 3 times, spoke to 3 different people.. nearly ripping my hair out!! you might call me a silly woman but i tried everything..for the sake of my sanity i paid a local expert to set it up weeks ago and all is well..he only charged £40..hope you get it fixed soon..good luck...

It is possible to connect to BT using another router.. make sure it is set up on 'pppoA' and you type in a user name 'user@btbroadband.com' no password required if your router insists on one type in 'password' also you can download homehub firmware at www.btyahoo.com/homehubfirmware please ensure you read the instruction thoroughly before proceding with the procedure... other possibilites are your network card look for latest drivers. if you try all this and are convinced it is the hub provided it is under warranty bt should swap it.
