As mentioned above, there is a constant beep noise when I turn on my CPU switch. There isn't any image on my monitor too. I am sure the problems lies in the CPU, not monitor. May I know how to get this issue fixed? Would I be able to retrieve the data in my PC again?

The pattern of the beep was like each beep will last about 3-4 seconds.

flip off the switch in the back and make sure everything is plugged in good ... then turn it back on .. go from there ... chances are even if some part is bad that ur harddrive and data are safe .. if u have to then hook ur harddrive as a slave to another pc to retrieve ur data ...

The style of beeps (length and amount) will actually tell you what the problem is. Find the manual for your motherboard or computer, and in it there should be a section dedicated to explaining what the beeps mean. Sometimes it's a CPU error, sometimes it's a graphic card malfunction. Whenever this has happened to me however, it's always been a problem with the RAM. I suggeset you open up your case, make sure everything is secured, then take out one stick of RAM. Turn it on again. If it happens again, put the stick back and take out another one (if you have). Alternate the sticks and their position inside the slots. This has actually helped me on a few occassions.

The beeps indicate a cpu error, the pattern of the beeps indicates the error. First try carefully opening the pc and checking that any cards fitted, especially the video card and ram, are firmly seated. Just pressing them down is normally enough to seat them correctly. If this does not help you need to consult the motherboard manual for the actual meaning of the beeps.

If you have 2 sticks of ram take one out and see what happens or just take it out and put it back in. Could be bad ram.

Check out memtest also.

I would look at your memory first.
